As soon as we crossed the <br />border the scenery changed and everything became much fresher and <br />cleaner and much less dark and industrial as the Italian side felt. We <br />bought our vignette at the border costing 30EURO We traveled up hitting <br />1700m at one point.<br /> We were worried that we would hit snow and our lack of snow tyres would <br />become a problem as we passed through the last tunnel and bright blue <br />skies and sun was replaced by a winter wonderland - but no worries - the <br />roads were fantastic and clear.<br /> We stayed in Chur that night at a great little campsite ready to head <br />towards Lucerne in the morning.
