Wild Camping GPS POI

When we first started out like many others we stuck to a mixture of campsites and aires but as our confidence grew and we started to visit places further afield both these official places start to become a little bit thin on the ground. During this tour in 2011 we will be visiting countries that do not have the same network of stopovers and have so far 100 days in been able to find somewhere to stay usually for free and more often then not in the company of other European registered campers. This helps us to keep costs down by not having to pay for campsites.

So far water has been available at fuel stations (100% success rate for Statoil stations so far) and we have emptied our black waste in the many "earth closet toilets" we have seen along the route being careful that our tank does not contain any chemicals which are not allowed.

This page is under construction while I work on the best method to display this information in conjunction with Google Maps but the Map below allows you to navigate to the exact spot where we stayed and view a description and eventually a photograph. If you would like a copy of this data please e-mail us - I can send it as an Autoroute, Excel or CSV file to import into your navigation device.
